The Out Campaign: Scarlet Letter of Atheism

War

We take ourselves upon ourselves
and FIGHT for our place.
On this
Beautiful Earth
Our soil, Our grains.

We take all for granted
and yet, we can see
that another,
who is out there,
wants to take it
from me.

So we go and we fight
we struggle, and die
who is more humble
than both you and I?

But we consider
The whole earth
and find, from their view
that they feel, they're equal
to I and to you.

But they make,
the mistake
that we take to be true:
that they are protecting,
Their and their you.

"Whats wrong with a bomb?

Or missile?

Or nuke?
To eliminate
they that congregate
to destroy I and You?

How Justly
we go forth
to destroy all in view.
There's Nothing that's Better
for I,
and You."

Now, outside,

I look upon
this man, and his view
And I find,
That his mind,
And his reasons
Are true.

But there's something to be said
For an I or a You,
that theirs isn't the only
Truth,
Or point of view.

To Destroy something for its Difference,
Our Indifference, Grew.
Our thought was not for them,
but for tiny I and little You.

Oppression we cry!

Regression say I!

I think war Is never just,
when the reasons
on both sides
are true.

And so I conclude,
through this poem so crude,
That peace
Is entirely up
To I and to you.
